What is Tae Kwon Do?
Tae Kwon Do originates from Korea and is a modern adaptation of an ancient form of unarmed combat.
The word "Tae" means to jump or kick with your feet; "Kwon" is a fist, and therefore means to punch or destroy with your hands or fists; and "Do" is an art or way. Combining these three words, Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that practises both hand and foot techniques. Tae Kwon Do involves self-defence, free-style sparring, traditional moves and techniques, patterns and line-work.

 Inspire Martial Arts News
Novice Fight Night a success for Inspire Martial Arts.

Inspire Martial Arts first fight night, aimed at novice fighters to give
them experience and confidence in sparring in competition was
an outstanding success with all students doing very well in their fights.  Inspire would like to congratulate all fighters, give thanks
to the Instructors from all clubs who helped and thanks to the people who helped on the night with setting up and running the event to make it such a great night.

How can Tae Kwon Do help me?
This Martial Art can not only get and keep you
fit, it will teach you confidence in yourself and
the discipline required to carry out a Martial Art
and progress to Black Belt and beyond.
You will learn Self Defence to protect yourself,
patterns to not only improve your body but also
your mind, all these aspects and more are
taught by fully qualified and CRB checked staff.

Look at the picture below, with proper training
this young student has the fitness, confidence
and training to enable him to carry out a jump
kick and break a wooden board.  Would you
like to be able to do this or would you like your
child to be trained to this standard?

Contact us with any questions using the contact
page, we look forward to hearing from you.
